Electrospinning (or electrospinning as it is referred to in some places in Turkish) is a technique used to produce solutions or melted materials as nano- or micro-sized fibers. The working logic is quite simple; It works thanks to the electric field formed between a needle (metal capillary) and a conductive surface. As can be seen in the figure on the right, you spray the material you want to produce nano-/microfiber through a needle with tension at the tip. The material, which becomes (+) charged thanks to the voltage in the needle, is 'attracted' by the (-) charged conductive surface at the opposite end. The material deposited as fibers on the conductive surface forms the tissue scaffold.
